Matthew West & Amy Grant Video Help Bring Hope Around the World This Christmas

Earlier this year, Matthew West travelled with the ministry Samaritan’s Purse, as part of their Operation Christmas Child, to give shoe boxes filled with toys and gifts to children in Colombia. It was an occasion that is indelibly ingrained in his memory. “I will not soon forget the children I met today, and the smiles on their faces. I got kisses on the cheek from little girls that weren’t my daughters, but my heart sure melted for them as though they were.”

Each year, Samaritan’s Purse conducts their Operation Christmas Child by collecting millions of shoeboxes filled with toys and gifts from families here in the States and distributing them to impoverished children around the world.

To help raise awareness of Samaritan’s Purse’s work this holiday season, Matthew, along with Amy Grant and Big Idea Productions (Veggie Tales) collaborated on this music video. The release of VeggieTales Saint Nicholas Christmas -- A Story of Joyful Giving DVD seemed an obvious opportunity to celebrate the holidays by bringing attention to the work and ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.
