Big Wave Dave's (BWD) career began when he moved from his native New Hampshire to Nashville in order to attend college. After four years, he graduated with a double major in Theater and in Communications-Human Relations. After working for radio stations in Boston and Norfolk, BWD became Creative Services Director for what eventually came to be the Clear Channel-Nashville cluster of stations including legendary WSIX and WLAC. In 2001, after almost ten years in the service of this cluster of radio stations, he accepted an offer from The Fish to move to Southern California.
BWD married his college sweetheart Claire in 1989 and they have four kids: Matt (11), Kylie (9), Tyler (7) and Megan (5). Jack The Pug thinks he’s hungry all the time and 3 Gold Fish are still alive in the kids’ fish tank.
Dave loves hanging with his family, trying his hand in the batting cage, working in the yard, playing at the beach and sledding and skiing in the mountains. In 2006 he earned his MBA from Hope International University and is in the process of writing a couple of children's books. He's also doing his best to learn Spanish to keep up with his kids who attend a dual-immersion school.

Community activities: Police Officer, Firefighter, Pastor and Mailman. Oh, for real? I take pride in taking Grocery carts left in my neighborhood back to Albertson’s, Ralph’s, Stater Brothers, Walgreens and Rite Aid. I also love to cover graffiti in my spare time.

The four guests at my fantasy dinner party would be Nicole Kidman, Al Pacino, Andy Petitte, Billy Graham. Oh, did I say Nicole Kidman?
My hobbies are baseball, playing with my kids in the backyard, landscaping and watching a really weepy chick-flick with Claire.
Color: I’m very pale---need more sun. I’ve got a “farmers tan”. BWD needs to take some surf lessons. DUDE!!!
Scents: I love Magnolia’s and Gardenia’s.
The last book I read was The Shack by William P Young and What In The World Is Going On by David Jeremiah
I wish I knew how to : Blow bubbles with Bubble gum. I’ve tried Mom—I’ve tried!!!!
My worst habit is : beating myself up for making mistakes.
Nobody knows I stop on Angeles Crest Highway at the Vista Lookout that overlooks downtown LA and the LA basin, and pray that God would use this little worm for His benefit.
My favorite restaurant is Roman Cucina, Claim Jumper,
Movies: Far and Away, Apollo 13, Scent of a Woman and Dead Poet’s Society. Throw in Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. I won’t complain.
