Eastside Christian School
Address: 1701 West Valencia Dr., Fullerton, CA 92833
Website: www.eastsidechristian.org
Grades offered: K - 6, 7-8, 9-12

Mission Statement:  Our mission is to create a dynamic Christian environment, where students strive for excellence and are nurtured into well-rounded, caring, community leaders.

Info: Eastside provides opportunities for our K-12 students to learn and exercise leadership while investing in the community around us. As Eastside Christian School students grow to love the Lord with all their heart, soul mind and strength, they are supported and encouraged in their academic, spiritual, social and civic development. ECS students are daily “learning to lead, leading to serve.”

Our elementary program identifies a charity each month to support with time or money, including  a local community center, CHOC, Ronald McDonald House, and a school in the slums of Mathare, Kenya. We have an organic garden on site for children to learn to care for the earth, as well. We provide a leveled math, science and reading program for upper elementary; as well as weekly academies for special interests. An extended day care program also offers enrichment programs for all elementary.

Our older students tutor at a local public school daily, serve dinner to homeless residents in our community weekly, participate actively in important organizations such as Easter Seals and Operation Christmas Child, and engage in Serve Days each semester when all staff and students serve together at a local charity or organization. We also offer a college prep program that includes athletics at all ages, and a commitment to address the needs of the whole child. ECHS students can take up to eight AP courses, and must meet graduation requirements that set a high standard for students. We also have many students who are provided services by the local public schools through their Individualized Service Plan.

Students are learning the science of aquaponics farming in grow beds on site, while they implement this sustainable food source, and practice serving our community with the harvest.

Eastside offers a one-to-one technology program that puts an iPad2 in the hands of every junior high and high school student, teaching them to use technology as an academic tool and as a social opportunity.

While Eastside’s commitment is to work in our community to make it better, we also recognize that our students and their parents are part of a family here. Our staff works with families and students from all ethnicities and socio-economic levels to create a broad, loving experience in education.
